Anger is a natural emotional response. It is part of the 'fight or flight' mechanism, which evolved millions of years ago to help us deal with physical danger. It can help our survival and help us to protect others. On the other hand, when anger gets out of control it can become destructive and debilitating. It releases a range of hormones that affect every part of our body. The stress hormone that is meant to save us during emergencies eventually becomes a toxin.
Anger is an emotional state that varies in intensity, from mild irritation to intense fury and rage. It can be triggered by external or internal events. And its purpose is to motivate us to take action against perceived unfairness. As the end result of a process, it can build over a period of time - often many years. Our anger is personal to us and is a reaction to people or events.
Anger is energy, and like any power, it needs to be used wisely. How you use it is up to you. But it's simply, anger v peace - your choice.
